I'm a trained graphic designer gaining my BA Honours Degree in Graphic Design at Middlesex Polytechnic -a varied course where I learnt skills in most areas of design such as 3-D, printing, photography and associated graphic processes.
I worked in the magazine publising industry for over 12 years for Emap, National Magazines and the BBC and worked on titles such as Marks and Spencer, BBC Clothes Show, Just Seventeen and Harpers and Queen. I gained much experience running art departments, launching new titles, hiring and commissioning illustrators and photographers and art directing photo shoots.
Take a look at my graphic design portfolio where you can see past work, recently completed and new projects in progress.
I specialise in logo design and logo suites (that's business cards, letter headed paper and compliments slips), corporate identity, web design, print design and branding, and can also often be found designing invitations, posters, flyers and marketing material.
If you have a project that requires specific images then my photography skills comes in handy which, ultimately I feel strengthens the end product.
When I'm not infront of the computer, behind the camera or in my ceramic studio, you'll find me in my garden or vegetable plot - another passion of mine.
The difference between good design and great design is intellegence.
Design is the search for a magical balance between business and art; art and craft; intuition and reason; concept and detail; playfulness and formality; client and designer; designer and printer and printer and public.
Computers are to design as microwaves are to cooking.
